You are invited to join me...
During this challenging time when much is unknown, and it seems like grace is a little out of reach, it feels important to gather together and explore how to navigate these waters as benevolently as possible.
We live in a cultural matrix that values productivity, efficiency and making money more than human lives or the well being of this planet.
Grief is very inconvenient to this system.
We are expected to perform more like machines than truly live as well, whole and flourishing human beings.
Much of what we struggle and suffer with can be traced to grief we haven’t been able to process because there was no space or care available to honor it.
Whether our grief comes from the loss of a loved one, illness, job loss, global crisis, recovery from addiction or codependency, or making space to heal from the past, there is an organic pattern to our grieving process that follows nature’s cycles.
It is how we heal.
It is how grace liberates us over and over again.
When we learn its ways, we are empowered to navigate life in a way that allows for more grace and kindness.
Grief is nuanced and complex. There is the loss itself and our reaction to it.
But, also much more…
✵ Our attachments to what was, what wasn’t and what will never be. (Earth)
✵ Our internal attachments of self-identity, our orientation to life as we knew it. (Water)
✵ The way we navigate through life and our belief systems come into question. (Fire)
✵ Our connection to Spirit, love, soul and the source of life itself gets reorganized. (Air)
We mimic nature in the constellation of our psyches.
We are more like the trees and stars than computers, disorders and robotic, linear stages.
Because there is no true space in our culture for the vital and necessary experience of grief, we’ve lost connection to nature, both ours and the Earth.
This leads us to believe there is something wrong with us because we can’t always find ourselves in steps and stages. The stuck grief constellates as shame and fear we are aching to be free from.
The earth is paying a heavy price for this.
Over the last 25 years, I have developed a spiral model model of grief that is more aligned with the natural world.
In fact, much of this wisdom came to me during my years of recovery from drinking too much alcohol and initial codependency that lead me there.
The trees and earth held me, guided me through all the layers and helped me find my truest heart again.
When we are in the presence of grief, there is nothing but truth and deep presence to the heart breaking open.
When we enter it, we become free.
This is what makes space for Grace; for unimaginable goodness to find it’s way to us because we now know what is important to us, what is precious and how fleeting this life is.
We do not grieve for what we do not love, were not attached to, or did not long for.
Grief is love.
It is in love that we find the grace that can carry us through the unknown in ways that heal us.
When we approach grief with a more holistic understanding of all the nuances, we are better equipped to understand what it is we need.
We can better offer ourselves the nurturing and care that will deeply support us through dark times or the mystery of being in the known.
In this workshop, you will:
✵ Gain an understanding of the grief process through this spiral model.
✵ Learn how to create ritual and practices to support you through your unique journey.
✵ Discover how to tap into and address your needs based on what is most alive for you in your grief process at any given time.
✵ Experience a nourishing and soothing heart healing journey.
